Several airports are testing a blue taxiway edge LED light with extremly low power consumption. They are connected to the 6,6A series circuit and operates together with conventional halogen edge lights. The conventional light has a power consumption of close to 50W with losses in transformers etc, as for the LED it is a mere 5 watts losses included. Considered that some airports have thousands of these installed, the contribution to a reduced co2 emission should be clear.

Last winter came with vast amounts of snow, and from Europe as well as North America they say it was the real winter as they knew it from before. Way into April snow showed up and gave machinery and men the clear message that global warming still not is present in this area.
